VITSA
In the heart of South Pindos
Among the 46 villages of Zagori, Vitsa captivates visitors with its unique historical, architectural, and ecological significance. The village is structured into two settlements, separated by a deep natural hollow. The dominant building material is the traditional local white slate, which characterizes the construction of the village's structures. Rich in history and ecological wealth, Vitsa stands out with its rare flora and endemic species of exceptional botanical value. Ioannina
To visit us, you must first reach the historic city of Ioannina.
By car
The distance from Athens is 415 km via Olympia Odos, Rio Bridge, and Ionia Odos. The distance from Thessaloniki is 259 km via Egnatia Odos.
By bus
From Athens, you can take the intercity KTEL bus from Kifisos. The journey takes approximately 5 hours. From Thessaloniki, you can take the intercity KTEL bus from Macedonia. The journey takes approximately 3 hours.
With airplane
Ioannina Airport "King Pyrros" serves as an arrival and departure point for Athens and Thessaloniki, as well as for select international destinations.
Vitsa
Once you arrive in Vitsa, you will find Andromachi’s Beloi Hotel and Restaurant at the entrance of the village.
By car
From Ioannina, head towards Konitsa and follow the sign for Zagorochoria, Central Zagori. It’s a short drive of approximately 35 km, taking around 40 minutes.
By bus
At the Ioannina intercity KTEL station, you can get information about the bus schedules from Ioannina to Vitsa.
By taxi
